Scope and Contents

The Master and Fellows of Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, let to Philip Earl of Hardwicke certain property in Haddenham for a term of twenty years at the annual rent of certain sums and certain quantities of wheat and malt. The usual stipulations as regard upkeep are made. The lessee at fixed times is to deliver a terrier of all the lands. The lessee is to dwell on the property during the whole term. He may not alienate without licence. The lessee is bound in a certain sum to perform the agreement. Witnessed by Joseph Baldwin and Charles Brand, both of Serjents' Inn, Fleet Street. Part of the original seal is attached.
