Scope and Contents
Correspondence regarding gifts to or from the Royal Observatory. The letters include correspondence with Miss Frances Cooper, 1952, regarding two large photographs of the Moon taken in 1875 and 1876. There is also acknowledgement from the National Science Museum of the following gifts from the Royal Observatory: Airy's Water Telescope, 1870; Airy's Reflex Zenith Tube, 1851; Airy's Water Clock, 1860; and McNeile's original Occultation Machine, 1928.
