Hunter regarding a tripod to support a 16-inch coelostat mirror, 1949; correspondence with Carl Zeiss regarding a 100mm transit instrument, 1948, including a leaflet on the instrument; letters from the Optical Works Ltd regarding the Schmidt telescopes, including a photograph and a catalogue, 1947; and correspondence with H.E. Piggot, 1945-1946, regarding an Australian sundial designed by W.E. Cooke in 1908, and the forwarding of the sundial to the Royal Observatory.
