Scope and Contents
Communications of the Astronomer Royal to the Royal Astronomical Society:
Correspondence relating to the Astronomer Royal and lists of photographs presented by the him to the R.A.S., 1905-1929, regarding negatives and photographs of the Sun, sunspots, solar eclipses, comets (1907 and 1908), planets (Jupiter and Saturn), satellites, nebulae (Andromeda and H.V.14 Cygni) and a copy of a portrait of Dr Glaisher.
Correspondence and papers, 1916-1935, including reports on the work of the Royal Observatory, presented by the Astronomer Royal to the R.A.S.; summaries of work done by various astronomers; copies of the Annual Report of the Royal Observatory for 1917, 1925-1926 and 1928-1935; occultations of stars observed at the Observatory in 1916; and summaries of the work of Professor Russell and George Lecointe.
