Scope and Contents
Astronomical telegrams and letters relating to them, including correspondence with other observatories, General Post Office, Bureau des Longitudes, Professor Strömgren and the military authorities regarding proposed changes in discriminating astronomical information as a result of the First World War, and telegrams and letters relating to the sighting of comets, including Metcalfe's, February 1915 (which was eventually deemed to be an asteroid), Mellishe's, February 1915, Taylor's, December 1915, and Neujmin's, February 1916.
