Scope and Contents
'Instrumental Errors...Clock Comparisons by Signals', a collection of papers relating to the determination of the difference in longitude of Paris and Greenwich. The main topics include collimation errors in Transits B and C, the determination of level errors, computation of 'n' for Transit B at Paris and Transit C at Greenwich, readings of individual clock signals and means, and signals and means of exchanges. The papers end with a description of the telegraph system.
