Correspondence with the Director, Paris Observatory, 1886, regarding a proposal to hold a conference to discuss an astrographic chart of the heavens, with a draft programme of discussions and correspondence with G.G. Stokes regarding his attendance to represent the Royal Society and the Astronomer Royal's acceptance of the invitation to represent the United Kingdom.
Correspondence with A.A. Common and W. Huggins regarding the Royal Astronomical Society Committee and its membership, 1886.
Correspondence with H. Wild of the Paris Observatory regarding the constitutional formation of the English delegation, 1886.
Correspondence regarding the formation of the Conference and arrangements for a preliminary meeting, 1887, with a memorandum by Lt. General J.F. Tennant, Royal Engineers, regarding his view on astrophotography and correspondence with Professor Bakhuyzen concerning the circularity of stellar images on photographic plates and the distortion towards the edge of the plate.
Correspondence with A.E.B. Mouchez of Paris on the approval of the United Kingdom Government for the Greenwich and Cape observatories to take part in astrographic work on curved plates and the form of photographic images, 1888.
Correspondence concerning the meeting of 12 September 1889 on the reaseaux and on the arrangement of the zones, 1889-1890.
