Papers regarding the London County Council generating station at Greenwich:

(1) Correspondence, 1906

General correspondence with officers of London County Council concerning the generating station, 1906, including a report of the highways committee, a report on the generating station and its relation to the Royal Observatory, and reports of L.C.C. meetings from shorthand notes by Leslie Bannerman.

Correspondence with Lord Crawford and Lord Ellenborough concerning a debate in the House of Lords on the generating station, 1906.

Correspondence with Professor Foerster concerning the generating station and its interference with the Royal Observatory instruments, 1906, including printed papers on the 'Wegener Fire-box'.

Correspondence with the Headmaster of the Greenwich Hospital School concerning the disturbance to instruments caused by the generating station, 1906.

Correspondence concerning suggestions for eliminating smoke and vibration from the generating station, 1906. The correspondents are F.J. Down; the Evaporator and Smoke Condenser Co.; A.B. Lennox; Mitchells, Ashworth and Co.; W. Pilkington; and R.H. Smith.

Correspondence with the Royal Astronomical Society on possible action to be taken to prevent the L.C.C. generating station interfering with Royal Observatory instruments, 1906.
