Correspondence and papers concerning plans for improvements to clocks and chronometers, including extracts from R. Robert's patent, with plans for clocks and chronometers; articles from the 'Patent Journal and Inventors' Magazine'; improved pendulums; compensation balances and the use of electricity for clocks; a statement on the Royal Exchange Clock; and the requirements for chronometers on an Arctic expedition. The correspondents include C. Wheatstone and F. Beaufort.
