Scope and Contents
Official and general correspondence on standards. The correspondents include Sir J.F.W. Herschel, Sir J. Lefevre, J.W. Lubbock, Professor W.H. Miller, Lord Monteagle, the Earl of Rosse, Lord Wrottesley, W. De La Rue and A. de Morgan. The volume includes printed 'Notes for the Committee on Weights and Measures, 1862' by Airy; an Act for the amendment and consolidation of the Custom Tariff Acts; printed copies of letters and reports on standards; and newspaper cuttings on the question of standards.
