Correspondence on decimal coinage. The correspondents include Sir J.F.W. Herschel, J.G.S. Lefevre, Sir J.W. Lubbock, Professor W.H. Miller, the Revd G. Peacock, the Earl of Rosse, the Revd R. Sheepshanks, Lord Wrottesley and A. de Morgan. The papers include many printed documents on decimal coinage; weights and measures; the coinage of copper; questions asked by Lord Overstone to the Decimal Coinage Commissioners, with answers; a French paper on bronze money; and newspaper and magazine articles concerning decimal coinage.
