Correspondence relating to the transit of Venus, 1874. The correspondents include the Treasury; the Foreign Office; the India Office; the Colonial Department; the Agents General of New South Wales, Victoria and Southern Australia; the War Office; the Post Office; the Science and Arts Department; the Royal Society; the Royal Astronomical Society; the Nautical Almanac Office; and the Board of Visitors. There is also a report by Airy to the Treasury on telescopic observations of the transit of Venus, 1874.
