Le Verrier on the Sun's parallax; correspondence and calculations relating to the transits of Venus, 1874 and 1882; calculations of the opposition of Mars, with a graph of the path of Mars at the opposition of 1860 and a star chart showing the ecliptic between 19h and 21h right ascension 14° to 26° south declination at epoch 1825; a letter from J. Challis about a correction of the theory and elements of the orbit of Venus; correspondence with J.C.
