Biographical / Historical

'The Astronomical Almanac' series began in 1981 with the unification of 'The American Ephemeris and Nautical Almanac' and 'The Astronomical Ephemeris'. The introduction of the new series was accompanied by major revision of the scope and arrangement of the contents and the sharing of computations and the composition of tables and text.
