  1. 1r. Final concord: John Lumpkin and Nicholas Lumpkin, plaintiffs, and John Tayler and Alice, his wife, and William [?text obscured] and Sarah, his wife, defendants, relating to ten acres of land and 19 acres of pasture with appurtenances in Newton. [Some of the text in this entry is obscured by the index affixed to the membrane].
  2. 2r. John Richman of Whittlesey, yeoman, answered Benjamin Cooke in an action that on 20 Apr. 1716 he ejected Cooke from 20 acres of land, 20 acres of pasture, 20 acres of marsh land and 20 acres of fen ground with appurtenances in Whittlesey St Andrew which Peter Grinn had leased to Cooke for a term which had not yet expired. Richman arrested; to pay costs and damages.
  3. 2r. Thomas Blench of Chatteris, yeoman, answered Robert Avery in an action that on 25 Mar. 1716 he ejected Avery from two messuages, two cottages, an acre of land and an acre of meadow with appurtenances in Chatteris which Malbon Scrimshire and Charles Worsley, gentleman, had leased to Avery for a term which had not expired. Blench arrested; to pay costs and damages.
  4. 2r. John Barker complains against Joseph Starkey of Haddenham, yeoman, in an action of trespass on the case that on 29 Jan. 1716 Starkey slandered him at Witchford by publicly saying, ‘I can bring two witnesses that shall wear that you stole my lamb out of Grunty Fen’. The entry is incomplete.
  5. 2v. Michael Musgrave, gentleman, complains against John Shuker of Sutton, yeoman, Jeremiah Reynolds of Sutton, labourer, and Timothy Tubbs of Sutton, labourer, that on 1 Oct. 1715 they took 100 sheep belonging to Musgrave worth 40 pounds and ten shillings from a place called Brangell Field at Sutton. There is discussions of the place and ownership of various pieces of land. [To proceed to the next session].
  6. 3r. William Fowler junior complains against Joseph Cole of Ely, [occupation not stated], in an action of trespass that between 2 July and 18 Aug. 1715 his livestock trampled and overgrazed the grass and crops growing in Fowler’s close at a place called Woodhouse Farm at Ely. The entry is incomplete.
  7. 3r. William Wiseman complains against Nathaniel Cook in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of ten shillings, 9 May 1715 at Haddenham. The entry is incomplete.
  8. 3r. John Jenoway of Haddenham, draper, and Patience, his wife, complain against Robert Everard of Haddenham, gentleman, that on 5 Sept. 1715 he assaulted and raped Patience. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  9. 3v. Thomas [Say] complains against William Martindale of Ely, gentleman, in an action of trespass on the case relating to the possession of a heifer worth five shillings, 6 Dec. 1715 at Ely. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  10. 3v. Sheppard Cook of Wisbech, yeoman, answered John Sergeant in an action of trespass on the case relating to the sale and supply of goods and wares, 1 Apr. 1715 at Wisbech. The entry is incomplete.
  11. 4r. John Rudd of Elm, husbandman, answered Thomas Plummer in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of 15 shillings, 1 Sept. 1715 at Elm. The entry is incomplete.
  12. 4r. William Clank of Tydd St Giles, victualler, answered William Campion in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of 14 pounds for diverse goods and wares, 1 July 1716 at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  13. 4v. Joseph Hunton of Haddenham, yeoman, answered Alice Bann, widow, in an action of trespass on the case relating to the possession of five pewter dishes worth five shillings, 28 Feb. 1716 at Haddenham. The entry is incomplete.
  14. 4v. Robert Anderson complains against Lancelot Stidly of Downham, yeoman, in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of 40 shillings for carpentry work, 1 Jun. 1716 at Downham. The entry is incomplete.
  15. 5r. Richard Hill of Whittlesey, tailor, answered Peter Grinn in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of five pounds, 10 Mar. 1716 at Whittlesey. The entry is incomplete.
  16. 5r. Richard Hill of Whittlesey, tailor, answered Robert Jackson in an action of trespass that on 10 May 1716 he entered Jackson’s close at Whittlesey and constructed a clay wall there measuring seven foot long, half a foot wide and [?nine lengths]. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  17. 5v. Thomas Woodward of Wisbech, slater, answered John Fenn in an action of trespass on the case relating to the construction of windows and windowpanes at a messuage in Wisbech, 25 May 1716. Woodward fined; to pay costs and damages.
  18. 5v. Edward Partheriche esquire complains against Edward Scotting of Hilgay, Norfolk, yeoman, in an action of trespass that between 29 Apr. And 23 Nov. 1713 his livestock overgrazed and trampled the grass growing in two closes belonging to Partheriche at a place called Willow Stoe at Littleport. The entry is incomplete.
  19. 6r. Thomas Dagnall complains against Thomas Langman of Downham, yeoman, in an action of trespass that between 14 and 22 July 1716 his livestock trampled and overgrazed the grass growing in Dagnall’s close at a place called the Wash abutting the hundred foot river and the thirty foot river at Downham. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.

Edward Welby complains against Robert Grymmer of Haddenham, grocer, in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of 40 shillings for grass growing on two acres of land belonging to Welby at a place called Haddenham End in Haddenham, 2 Apr. 1716.   21. 6v. John Gooby of Haddenham, labourer, answered Martha Clack, widow, in an action of trespass on the case relating to a debt in the sum of 40 shillings for diverse goods and wares, 20 Feb. 1716 at Haddenham. The entry is incomplete.
  22. 6v. John Shuger, alias Suger, of Sutton, husbandman, Jeremiah Reynolds of Sutton, victualler, and Timothy Tubbs of Sutton, shoemaker, are summoned to answer Thomas Carter in an action that on 1 Oct. 1716 they took a ram, two ewes and six lambs belonging to Carter from a place called Weedon or Widdon Field in Sutton. The entry is incomplete.
  23. 7r. John Symons senior of March, gentleman, answered Henry Barley in an action that on 1 May 1716 he ejected Barley from a cottage and a [?] with appurtenances in March which John Jenyus had leased to Barley for a term which had not yet expired. Symons arrested; to pay damages.
  24. 7r. John Adkin of Downham, yeoman, is summoned to answer William Adkin and Michael Goodale in an action of debt of 70 pounds relating to a bond of obligation of 22 Mar. 1715 at Downham. Adkin fined; to pay costs and damages.
