All files are closed to scholars for 30 years from the date of creation, except for those with written permission of the Secretary or Chairman of the Council, 17 Mill Lane, Cambridge CB2 1RX, as a condition of transfer. In addition, files containing personal data are closed for 80 years from the date of creation under data protection legislation.
