Scope and Contents
Correspondence relating to the establishment of and problems faced by a PIC branch in liberated Athens. Most are office copies of letters from McKitterick and his second-in-command Stephen Bloomer to Lt-Col Basil L Deed in Cairo or Caserta, or (when Deed was himself in Athens) to Major Tom B Smith, his deputy, but there are five handwritten and typescript replies from Deed. 68 letters, low security classification for the most part, ranging from Confidential to (the very occasional) Top Secret
