Searle, R.: Correspondence with the Press, 1946
Scope and Contents
These letters relate to Forty Drawings, with a report by Kendon, F.H. This was a volume of Searle's drawings created whilst a Prisoner of War, held by the Japanese in Singapore (Changi) then taken to Myanmar (Burma) to work on the railway. The letters include a chronology of his life from his birth in 1920 to his return from war in 1945, also one sketch printed as a change of address card.
