Scope and Contents
Collection of five letters sent from Amy Richenda Ruck, first wife of Francis Darwin, to Elizabeth Eleanor D'Arcy (1852-1928) between 1868 and [1874]. Elizabeth visited Australia in 1872 and in 1877 married Amy's elder brother Arthur Ashley Ruck (1847-1939). The letters carry news of family and mutual acquaintances and Amy's preparations for her forthcoming marriage to Francis.
