Biographical / Historical
It was established by Grace 19 of 15 June 1988 as the Syndicate appointed to consider the government of the University, known informally by the name of its Chairman, Sir Douglas William Gretton Wass. Its report to the Regent House in May 1989 proposed revisions to the University's constitutional and administrative arrangements.
