Supplicats for degrees, 1568 - 1870
Scope and Contents
These are certifications by each College of their candidates' qualifications and requests that a degree be conferred. Technically all degrees are conferred as a result of a University grace, and all those about to graduate must request, or supplicate for, such a grace. The supplicats were bound into volumes by academic year. The contents duplicate the degree lists except for a few cases where there are the names of individuals who attempted the final test but do not appear in the degree lists.
