The series is presented in Registry reference code order. File references and titles are recorded as found. However, in certain cases, for files from the mid 1980s onwards, references have been changed or partly supplied by the archivist in consequence of seeming illogicalities applied in the Registry. Parts of references altered or supplied are indicated by addition of square brackets: [ ]. Registry staff occasionally reused reference numbers.
