Scope and Contents
This class comprises papers of Horace Darwin, the youngest son of Charles and Emma Darwin, and his family. Comprises: correspondence of Horace and Ida Darwin with family members and friends, including Charles and Emma Darwin, Elizabeth 'Bessy' Darwin, George Howard Darwin, Nora Barlow, Erasmus Darwin, Henrietta Emma Litchfield and Francis Darwin; correspondence of Nora Barlow, Ruth Rees-Thomas and Frances Crofts Cornford; correspondence of members of the Farrer family (Ida Darwin's family); occasional printed matter such as obituaries, visiting cards and articles about Charles Darwin; photographs of Nora Barlow, 1901; booklet of poems by Ruth Rees-Thomas, booklet of poems by Frances Farrer, and other verses.
