Comprises letters from Henrietta Emma Litchfield, the daughter of Charles and Emma Darwin, to: her mother and father, Emma Darwin, and Charles Robert Darwin; her sister, Elizabeth 'Bessy' Darwin; her brother, George Howard Darwin; her sister-in-law, Maud Darwin; Albert Dicey; Laura Forster; her nieces, Gwen Raverat and Frances Cornford; other close family members. Together with a small number of incoming letters, assorted notes and an account by Richard Litchfield of his wife's poisoning.
