Mary Holmes of Thorney, widow, is summoned to answer Henry Perne, cleric, rector of the parish church of Leverington, relating to [outstanding tithe payments] for 60 acres of land 60 acres of pasture with appurtenances in the parish of Leverington occupied by Holmes for seven years from 29 May 1685.   19. 8r. Edward Poole of Witchford, cleric, is summoned to answer Richard Adams, gentleman, in an action of debt of 200 pounds in an action of account, 10 July 1693 at Witchford. Poole fined; to pay costs and damages.
  20. 8v. William Thompson of Ely, bricklayer, Jonas [?], bricklayer, Robert Young of Ely, yeoman, and John Rayner senior of Ely, yeoman, answered Samuel Wright in an action of trespass that on 20 July 1693 they broke into Wright’s house at Ely and took and carried away a copper, copper lids, iron instruments, a vat, a cooler, two barrels, a jet, a hop basket and other brewing paraphernalia. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial. [This entry is on the outer membrane of the roll and is quite dirty; the text is a little difficult to read in places.]
