Miles March of Ely, gentleman, answered William [Attfenn] in an action of trespass and ejection that on 3 Apr. 1670 he ejected [Attfenn] from 26 acres of arable land, 26 acres of meadow, 26 acres of pasture, 26 acres of marsh and 26 acres of swampy land with appurtenances in Haddenham which Francis Bland, gentleman, had leased to [Attfenn] for a term which had not expired. William Abbitt of March, yeoman, answered Samuel Sandys junior, esquire, and Edwin Sandys, gentleman, in an action of trespass that between 9 May 1668 and 25 Mar. 1670 his livestock trampled and overgrazed the grass growing in their close comprising of 36 acres of marsh land at a place called Norwood Side Fen at March, and that he cut down and took away grass from the same close. Richard Pritteman of Upwell, gentleman, answered Simon Woodrow in an action of trespass that between 20 May 1668 and 29 Sept. following his livestock trampled and overgrazed the grass [amounting] to 20 cart-loads of hay to the value of ten pounds, growing in Woodrow’s close, comprising 50 acres of pasture at Upwell.
