983 carbon typed letters. These are the regular exchanges of information and instructions between staff located in the Pitt Building in Cambridge and Bentley House in London. Author, title and work required and/or instructions are given on each sheet. Some contain sales figures, requests for distribution of books, price and quantity fixing. Original letters are noted as being enclosed with these carbons but they are not filed here. Bentley House was opened in 1938 as 'the London office.'
