Comprises notes and scraps of notes, draft sections, abstracts, letters and printed material relating to the second edition. The wrappers within the volume are labelled as followed: 'Fishes / Amphibians'; 'Insects'; 'S[exual]S[election] Man / Voice / Music / Decrease of Man In New Zealand Sandwich Isds'.
