Henry True of Ely, chapman, and Katherine, his wife, answered Robert Gotobed and Margaret, his wife, in an action of trespass on the case that on 12 Oct. 1638 at Ely they slandered Margaret Gotobed by publicly saying, ‘She might keep a good stall and go up and down with two maids for that she cheated Thomas Haynes of Scotch cloth and bone lace and that they [Henry and Katherine] would prove the same.’ Henry and Katherine True acquitted.

On 20 Jan. 1639 he took and carried away a 20 shilling piece of gold and two five shillings and six pence pieces of gold from Jellett. The entry is incomplete.
