Robert Ingram of Sutton, Lincolnshire, yeoman, answered Jeremy Gilbert in an action of trespass on the case that on 6 Sept. 1634 at Wisbech he slandered Gilbert by publicly saying, ‘they (Jeremy Gilbert and Henry Hastings) are both thieves for they stole two bullocks out of my ground and I will prove them thieves’. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  22. 6v. Philip Barbor of Wisbeach, oatmeal maker, answered Thomas Gardner in an action of trespass that on 2 Mar. 1635 he broke into Gardner’s house at Wisbech, abutting the great river. The entry is incomplete.

John Coward of Badgeney, March, fisherman, answered Owen Southold and Edmund Southold in an action of trespass on the case relating to an agreement between the Southolds, John Coward and a certain Samuel Ticloe, gentleman, concerning a grey nag [horse], the route for a race and whether the horse galloped every step, 8 Dec. 1634 at March. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.

Frances Smith of Mepal, widow, and Robert Smith of Mepal, labourer, answered Edmund Aspland in an action of trespass that on 1 Sept. 1634 they took and carried away grass growing to the value of 40 shillings from Aspland’s lot situated in a marsh called North Fen at Mepal.
