‘Gustav Mahler: Symphony no. 10’, Zsolnay Facsimile, 1924, c.1960-1964
Scope and Contents
Cooke’s own copy interleaved with additional pages – both photocopies and photographic reproductions. The pages are numbered 1 to 61 but pages 6, 11, 20, and 47 are non-extant. Some of the pages present appear to be from the list of corrections produced by Alban Berg but never acted upon.
All reordered and interleaved items have been left in situ. Cooke has imposed his own coded page numbering in different colours, presumably as a way of clarifying the succession of drafted pages throughout this expanded collection.
