General Correspondence, 1939-1970
Scope and Contents
Contains both long-running series of letters from prominent individuals, and many individual letters from listeners to the BBC Third Programme responding to a lecture-demonstration presented by Cooke on his completion of Mahler's Tenth Symphony aired in December 1960 and the premiere of the full-length performing version broadcast in August 1964.
