Cooke wrote an extensive number of concert programme and record sleeve notes. He listed the individual writings by composer in a series of notebooks, allocating a letter and number to each item. The letter series are A, C and D (there is no B-series). Using Cooke's listing system, the programme and sleeve notes are presented in numerical order, beginning with the A-series and finishing with the D-series.
