Scope and Contents
Written from Hankelow Court, Audlem, Cheshire, Adam wishes to reassure Rutherford over a matter of "some delicacy" about the financial considersations of his answering the "call from Cambridge" and that all his reasonable requirements would be readily met by the University. Later that year Rutherford accepted an invitation to succeed Joseph Thomson as Cavendish Professor of Physics in the University of Cambridge.
