Scope and Contents
Notebook inscribed ‘Feb. 15th ’45, Holland, Germany, Home, July 28th ‘45’ containing 18 pages of manuscript journal entries for the period 15 February to 28 July 1945.
Following a period of leave TJF returned to the Netherlands and Field Surgical Unit No. 33. The journal records the progress of the unit as it followed the allied advance. After 2nd May there are just five very brief entries for the period May to July recording only the place names TJF travelled through on his journey home to England.
