Scope and Contents
Correspondence between Hamson, and T. S. Gregory, BBC Talks producer, concerning preparation for a series of broadcasts on law reform which Hamson contributed to with a talk on ‘The Present Condition of the Law’ broadcast on 3 October 1952. The nine talks were first transmitted by the BBC on the Third Programme during October and November 1952. All of the talks were reproduced in ‘Law Reform and Law Making’ (1953) and feature contributions from, amongst others, Professor Arthur Lehman Goodhart and Lord Justice A. T. Denning. Included in the correspondence is a letter from Denning to Hamson congratulating him on his broadcast of 3 October. See MS Add. 9957/11/17 for a copy of ‘Law Reform and Law Making’.
