'Courts of International Arbitration: How Far May Courts of Arbitration be Resorted to as a Means of Settling the Disputes of Nations?' (London, 1875): a paper read at the Social Science Congress, Glasgow, on 6 October 1874, including a summary of a further paper on the same subject by Robert Berry, Professor of Law in the University of Glasgow, and an account of the ensuing discussion, 6 folios + cover (sewn together). There are also loose printed copies of 6 poems by Humphry Freeland: 'Wars! For what?', 'Alsace and Lorraine', 'Truth', 'To England', 'At Windermere' (with a prose note), and 'Eddystone' (with a prose note), December 1870-September 1872, 5 folios.
