Scope and Contents
Copies of four despatches exchanged between John Armor Bingham and Hamilton Fish, and of related correspondence. The copies are undated, and are written in an identical hand to that of Parkes 16/6. They include the following items:
Despatch from Bingham, Tokei, to Fish, 24 October 1876.
Despatch from Fish, Washington D.C., to Bingham, 20 December 1876.
Despatch from Bingham, Tokei, to Fish, 18 January 1877, with a letter from Thomas Brodhead Van Buren, 'Kanagawa (Yokohama)', to Bingham, 16 January 1877; a letter from Crocker Nye to Bingham, undated; and a letter from Bingham, Tokei, to Terashima Munenori, 18 January 1877.
