Manuscript and typescript correspondence, with a few memoranda, regarding the search for a future home for the archive of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd. The correspondence is primarily between members of the firm and universities in Great Britain and the United States. The correspondents include E.A. Benians, D.G.M. Bernard, Dean Chase, Arthur H. Cole, John King Fairbank, Mortimer Graves, Rupert Hart-Davis, J.H. Keswick, W.J. Keswick, David Owen, T.R. Schellenberg, Charles Seymour, Charles K. Webster, D.A. Winstanley and Gerald Yorke.
