The ring-binder is labelled '1956/57 Private & Confidential Henry Waugh & Co., Ltd.' and is numbered 51. It is divided into six sections:
1. Kelly & Walsh Ltd: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, with related letters and papers, 3 January-17 February 1956.
2. L.E.C. Letts's Visit to Hong Kong: semi-official letter no. 271 from Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, to Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, 9 November 1956, enclosing notes on personal discussions held between E.F. Watts and L.E.C. Letts in Hong Kong, 6-9 November 1956, and notes on discussions held at Alexandra House on 7 November 1956 regarding Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, and private and confidential letter no. 474 from Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, to Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, 21 November 1956, regarding Letts's Hong Kong visit.
3. Henry Waugh & Co. Properties: a small set of correspondence of Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, with Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, 22 March-17 April 1957, with some notes of 27 March 1957 and a memorandum on Henry Waugh & Co.'s properties, 28 March 1957.
4. H.A. Waugh: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, with related letters and papers, including summaries and extracts of telephone conversations between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, 9 February 1956-11 December 1957.
5. Annual Accounts, Finance, etc.: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, with related letters and papers, 11 April 1956-29 November 1957. The papers include accounts of Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd; notes of meetings at Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, regarding Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd's accounts and finance; a memorandum by H. Sidbury, Hong Kong, on the possible reorganisation of Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, 11 April 1956; and the Chairman's Report on the company for 1956, dated Hong Kong, 18 May 1957.
6. Seconded Staff Bonuses and Management Commissions: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Henry Waugh & Co. Ltd, Singapore, 30 May 1956-15 October 1957.
