Correspondence, cables and telex exchanged by Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, with Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Jardine Waugh (Malaya) Ltd, Singapore; correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and other correspondents; and other letters and papers, including monthly statements of Matheson (Chartering) Ltd.
Much of the material concerns George Grimble & Co. Ltd, including correspondence between the firm and Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong; the company's balance sheet and profit and loss account as at 31 March 1963, and fixture lists recording voyages for the years ended 31 March 1960, 31 March 1961, 31 March 1962 and 31 March 1963.
The ring-binder is labelled '1964/1965 Semi-official Ship Broking and Chartering Agency' and numbered 6.
