The ring-binder is labelled '1956/1957 Semi-official Calcutta : General' and numbered 5. It is divided into two sections:
1. From Calcutta: letters from Jardine Henderson Ltd, Calcutta, to Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, with some related letters and papers, 20 January 1956-11 November 1957.
2. To Calcutta: letters from Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, to Jardine Henderson Ltd, Calcutta, 9 January 1956-12 December 1957.
