1. Foochow Fertilizer Case: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and T.W. Pan, the company's representative in Shanghai, 27 January 1956-2 July 1957, regarding a case brought by Wang Shih Chang against Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd for a share of the profits from the sale of fertiliser by a joint agency of Wang and a representative of the firm's Foochow office in 1949. Pan's letter of 24 February 1956 encloses a copy of the judgement of the No. 1 Medium Grade People's Court in favour of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, Wang's appeal against this judgement and the firm's reply to the appeal.

2. Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd Liaison Office - Shanghai: correspondence (including some extracts of letters) between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Y.C. Liu, Liaison Representative of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, Peking and (mainly) Shanghai, with some related letters and papers, including correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and F.F. Garner and A.J.S. Pullan, British Consulate General, Shanghai, 28 April 1956-25 December 1957.
