Scope and Contents
The ring-binder is labelled '1950/51 Exports Sugar' and '4. Exports', and is divided into two sections:
1. Agencies Agreement: correspondence (including telegrams and extracts of letters) between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, Jardine Matheson, Taipei, Jardine Matheson, Tokyo, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with some related letters and papers, 2 February 1950-20 March 1951.
2. Official Correspondence: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and M. Golodetz, London and New York, 8 April 1950-11 December 1951.
Loose inside the ring-binder are copies of a letter from D.I. Bosanquet, Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, to M. Golodetz, London, 20 April 1950, regarding the joint account between Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd and M. Golodetz, and two memoranda by Bosanquet regarding the agreement between the two companies, dated Hong Kong, 23 November 1950 and 7 December 1950.
