Scope and Contents

Private and confidential correspondence between Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with enclosed letters and papers. The letters from London are in one numbered sequence which alternates between letters to Hong Kong and letters to Shanghai. The letters from Hong Kong and Shanghai to London are in separate numbered sequences. The letters from London to Hong Kong are originals; the other letters are copies. The correspondents are B.D.F. Beith, D.G.M. Bernard, J.H. Keswick, W.J. Keswick, L.N. Leefe and J.J. Paterson.
