A petition by William Handyside Tapp, H.B.M. Registrar of Shipping for China and Japan, on behalf of the Sailors' Home at Shanghai, against Jardine, Matheson & Co. and the trading copartnership the 'Shanghai and Hongkew and Jardine's Associated Wharves' in H.B.M. Supreme Court for China and Japan, Shanghai, 7 March 1881, with the answer of the defendants, 10 May 1881.
