Papers on the Sun Ye case, 1878-1881
Scope and Contents
Legal records and related documents regarding Suit No. 10 in the Supreme Court of Hong Kong, concerning the dissolution of the boiled opium partnership Sun Ye (or Yee) of Hong Kong, and to claims on its opium boiling business at Macao. Some of the documents are in Portuguese, and one item is in Chinese. William Keswick was the firm's liquidator.
