Scope and Contents

A wrapper containing the last will and testament of Duncan Forbes, commander of the ship 'Folkstone', dated on the 'Folkstone', Woosung River, 23 May 1849. There is also a power of attorney granted by Forbes to Alexander Grant Dallas to manage his affairs while he is absent from China, dated Shanghai, November 1849.
