Scope and Contents

An envelope containing a power of attorney granted by Julian Pauncefote, Attorney General of Hong Kong, being about to leave the colony, to Jardine, Matheson & Co. to collect money owed to him, dated Hong Kong, 20 September 1871. The envelope contains a pencil note by a modern cataloguer outlining the history of the power of attorney.
