Scope and Contents

A power of attorney granted by James Colvin, Joseph Barretto, William Limond and David Hunter of Calcutta, merchants and agents, being a committee of the Calcutta Insurance Office, to Charles Magniac & Co. to act as agents of the company at Canton and to carry out the insurance of British ships or vessels or ships sailing under the flags of European powers, as well as of goods, wares and merchandise, dated Calcutta, 8 April 1823.
